First Resource Management Group (FRMG) is a growth-oriented firm situated in Englehart, Ontario. Our goal is to provide sustainable resource management services to our clients throughout Ontario. Our team directly manages 4 million hectares of forest land in Northeastern Ontario as agent for two Sustainable Forest Licence holders. As well, we provide client-based forest management services on approximately 1 million hectares in Northcentral Ontario.
We are currently accepting resumes for the position of Management Forester from self-motivated individuals with the demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
As a member of a multi-disciplinary team you will participate and contribute in forest planning processes.
Your analytical skills will allow you to think several steps ahead and to anticipate outcomes when deciding on the best course of action.
Participating in stakeholder consultation processes will be your responsibility therefore demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues clearly and credibly to widely varied audiences is essential.
Your knowledge and experience in First Nation issues will be a valuable contribution to the FRMG management team.
You will represent FRMG and our clients to the government, the public and other external organizations.
The acquisition, analysis and use of high-quality imagery and other data to generate high-valued information to support planning and forestry operations will be an important component of your responsibilities.
Bachelor of Science in Forestry from a university of recognized standing.
Education and professional experience required to be licensed as a professional forester in the province of Ontario.
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following forestry-related fields:
FRMG’s tele-work policy allowing employees conditional flexibility to work from a distance will be applicable to this position.
