First Resource Management Group Inc. (FRMG) is a growth-oriented forest management firm based in New Liskeard, Ontario, with satellite offices in North Bay and Kirkland Lake. Our team provides forest management services on over 7 million hectares of Crown forest in Ontario. This creates unique diversity of forestry challenges and opportunities to learn from other technical professionals. Our core focus on forestry planning and support allows our forest industry, government and First Nations clients to focus on their own core businesses. We are active in the forest carbon market. Our SkyForestTM remote sensing technology is being used in forests across Canada.

We are currently accepting resumes from motivated individuals to join our team as a Forest Management Technician tasked with coordinating and implementing forest management services to our clients. Your responsibilities will include (among other things):
Qualities and Qualifications
Your strong inter-personal skills will allow you to develop and carry out forest management tasks within a collaborative environment.
Drawing upon your project planning experience, you will develop approaches that lead to cost-effective outcomes.
Your communication skills will allow you to effectively represent FRMG and our clients, to the government, the public and other external organizations. As well, your ability to speak French would be considered an asset.
Your organizational skills and attention to detail will allow you to provide analyses and accurate mapping products.
The acquisition, analysis and use of high-quality imagery and other data to generate high-valued information will be an important component of your responsibilities.
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following forestry-related fields:
A college diploma or degree in forestry is required however a post-secondary graduate with work experience in an associated discipline will also be considered.
Knowledge and experience in First Nation issues will be a valuable asset for this position
